2024-25 Academic Year – Department of Medical Genetics Teaching Award (Clinical Teaching) winner: Dr. Alison Elliott.

Dr. Alison Elliott is an Associate Professor and has made significant contributions in the Genetic Counselling Program for many years. Dr. Elliott is the Course Coordinator for MEDG 548 which covers topics such as research design, ethics, EDI integration, proposal development, quantitative and qualitative methodologies, and knowledge translation. Dr. Elliott is an outstanding teacher and mentor as evidenced by her peer and student reviews. Dr. Elliott also engages in clinical teaching outside of the department: she is a regular presenter at Neonatology, Pediatric, Neuroscience, Pediatric Orthopedic, and Multi-Organ Transplant Rounds at BC Children’s Hospital.
