Congratulations to Dr. Michael Kobor, appointed as Sunny Hill BC Leadership Chair in Child Development (January 2017).
This Chair is supported by LEEF (the Leading Edge Endowment Fund).
Dr. Kobor is a world-leading expert in the filed of social epigenetics, researching how diverse early life experiences affect human development and influence children’s’ health, learning and behaviour.
LEEF is managed by the BC Innovation Council on behalf of the BC Government and was established in 2002 to promote economic growth and job creation, strengthen the province’s position as centre of excellence in research, and promote the unique roles that BC universities and colleges play in innovation in BC.
Dr. Kobor’s Sunny Hill BC Leadership Chair in Child Development will be co-located at UBC’s Human Early Learning Partnership (HELP), BC Children’s Hospital Research Institute (BCCHR), and the Sunny Hill Health Centre for Children at BC Children’s Hospital.
