Anastasia Richardson is a board certified Genetic Counselor, and Clinical Instructor with the University of British Columbia. She received a B.Sc. Envs (Hons) from the University of Guelph, and a MS in Human Genetics and Genetic Counseling from Stanford University in 2014. She started her career at Lucile Packard Children’s Hospital Stanford, specializing in high-risk prenatal genetic counselling with the Fetal and Pregnancy Health Program. She moved to Vancouver in 2018, providing genetic counselling to prenatal, pediatric, and adult patients with the Provincial Medical Genetics Program. She was the initial Program Coordinator for the UBC Graduate Certificate in Genomic Counselling and Variant Interpretation, and is currently the Genetic Counselling Program Interim Co-Director, Curriculum and Directed Studies. Her research areas of interest include facilitated decision making, curriculum assessment, and regulation of Canadian Genetic Counsellors.
