Dr. Linlea Armstrong appointed as the new Clinical Education Director

At the end of July, the Department created and advertised the position of Clinical Education Director to build greater synergy between our clinical training programs and advance our clinical educational profile. The Clinical Education Director oversees the Residency Program, the Department’s involvement in the MD Undergraduate Program, and acts as the Medical Director of the MSc Genetic Counselling Program.

We are pleased to announce that Dr. Linlea Armstrong is the successful candidate and is appointed as the Clinical Education Director effective Oct. 1, 2016.

Dr. Armstrong continues to make significant contributions to residency training as a member of the Royal College examination committee. She has held educational leadership roles in the MD Undergraduate Program and has specific experience in creating competency-based curricula, supporting clinical learners in difficulty, developing inter-health professional curricula, and clinical educational assessment and remediation.

Please join us in congratulating Dr. Armstrong in her new role.
