Congratulations to Jan Friedman, who has been awarded the F. Clarke Fraser Award in recognition of his exceptional teaching and mentoring skills. This award recognizes a Canadian College of Medical Geneticists (CCMG) member who has made significant contributions as a mentor and/or teacher over the course of his/her career. “UBC’s Department of Medical Genetics grew to international prominence in part because of Dr. Friedman’s selfless support for trainees and junior faculty.”
The award was presented to Dr. Friedman during the CCMG Scientific Meeting in Harrison Hot Springs on June 10, 2018. More here about this newly instituted award.
