The American Society of Human Genetics (ASHG) has named Dr. Jan Friedman as the 2018 recipient of the Arno Motulsky-Barton Childs Award for Excellence in Human Genetics Education. This award recognizes an individual for contributions of exceptional quality and importance to human genetics education internationally. Dr. Friedman received his award on Oct. 16, 2018 during the 2018 Annual ASHG Meeting in San Diego, California.
